Islamabad, 04 July 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended felicitations to the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, and the American people on the momentous occasion of the United States' 250 years since the Declaration of Independence.

In his letter to the U.S. President, he stated that the United States continues to build upon its enduring legacy of strength, innovation and commitment to the ideals of freedom, democracy and opportunity. He noted that the remarkable achievements of the American people over the past two and a half centuries have contributed significantly to global progress and prosperity.

President Zardari said that Pakistan and the United States share a long-standing relationship based on mutual respect, shared interests and a common commitment to advancing peace, security and prosperity. He emphasised that these enduring ties have been further strengthened by the vibrant Pakistani-American community, whose achievements and contributions continue to enrich both societies while serving as a lasting bridge of friendship and understanding. Describing the bilateral relationship as being on an ascendant trajectory, characterised by renewed engagement and a shared determination to build a stronger, future-oriented partnership, the President stressed the importance of sustaining this momentum through structured engagement in energy security, trade and investment, defence and counter-terrorism, and other areas of mutual interest.

Underscoring that a strong Pakistan-U.S. partnership directly contributes to regional peace and security, the President noted that its inherent value was validated last year in May, when President Trump led the successful brokering of a ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed states. He further added that, with an evolving global landscape, this partnership strengthens, expressing appreciation for the trust and confidence placed by the U.S. in Pakistan's mediatory role for negotiations with Iran. The President expressed his firm conviction that a sustainable solution can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy and de-escalation.

President Zardari conveyed that the people of Pakistan would be honoured to host President Trump in Islamabad at his earliest convenience.

اسلام آباد، 04 جولائی 2026: صدرِ مملکت آصف علی زرداری نے امریکہ کے صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ اور امریکی عوام کو امریکہ کی آزادی کے 250 سال مکمل ہونے کے تاریخی موقع پر دلی مبارکباد پیش کی ہے۔

صدرِ مملکت نے امریکی صدر کے نام اپنے تہنیتی خط میں کہا کہ امریکہ اپنی طاقت، جدت، آزادی، جمہوریت اور مساوی مواقع جیسے بنیادی اقدار سے وابستگی کی مضبوط روایت کو مسلسل آگے بڑھا رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ گزشتہ ڈھائی صدیوں کے دوران امریکی عوام کے نمایاں کارناموں نے دنیا کی ترقی اور خوشحالی میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے۔

صدر زرداری نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور امریکہ کے درمیان دیرینہ تعلقات باہمی احترام، مشترکہ مفادات اور امن، سلامتی و خوشحالی کے فروغ کے مشترکہ عزم پر استوار ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ امریکہ میں آباد ایک فعال اورمتحرک پاکستانی برادری نے ان تعلقات کو مزید مضبوط بنانے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ اس برادری کی کامیابیاں اور خدمات نہ صرف دونوں ممالک کے لیے باعثِ فخر ہیں بلکہ یہ دونوں عوام کے درمیان دوستی، باہمی اعتماد اور بہتر روابط کا مضبوط ذریعہ بھی ہیں۔

صدرِ پاکستان نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور امریکہ کے تعلقات ایک مثبت سمت میں آگے بڑھ رہے ہیں، جہاں دونوں ممالک باہمی تعاون کو مزید وسعت دینے اور مستقبل پر نظر رکھنے والی مضبوط شراکت داری کے فروغ کے لیے پُرعزم ہیں۔ انہوں نے اس رفتار کو برقرار رکھنے کے لیے  توانائی کی قابلِ اعتماد فراہمی، تجارت و سرمایہ کاری، دفاع، انسدادِ دہشت گردی اور دیگر باہمی دلچسپی کے شعبوں میں قریبی اور منظم تعاون جاری رکھنے کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔ 

​صدر مملکت نے کہا کہ ایک مضبوط پاک-امریکہ شراکت داری کا علاقائی امن اور سلامتی میں اہم کردار  ہے جس کی اہمیت گزشتہ سال مئی میں اس وقت ثابت ہوئی جب صدر ٹرمپ نے دو ایٹمی ہتھیاروں سے لیس ریاستوں کے درمیان جنگ بندی کی کامیاب ثالثی کرائی۔ بدلتے ہوئے عالمی منظر نامے کے ساتھ، یہ شراکت داری مزید مضبوط ہو رہی ہے ۔ انہوں نے ایران کے ساتھ مذاکرات کے لیے پاکستان کے ثالثی کے کردار پر امریکہ کے اعتماد کو سراہا۔ صدر مملکت نے اس یقین کا اظہار کیا کہ ایک پائیدار حل صرف مذاکرات، سفارت کاری اور کشیدگی میں کمی کے ذریعے ہی حاصل کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

​صدر زرداری نے، پاکستانی عوام کی جانب سے، صدر ٹرمپ کو پاکستان کا دورہ کرنے کی پر تپاک دعوت بھی دی۔
