​Islamabad, 17 August 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended felicitations to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, the Government and the people of Indonesia on their Independence Day.

​The President in his letter stated that this historic occasion commemorates the spirit, resilience and determination of the Indonesian people as well as the leadership of the nation’s founding fathers in their struggle for freedom and independence.

​President Zardari highlighted that Pakistan and Indonesia enjoy close and friendly relations founded on shared history, mutual trust, common faith and cooperation at bilateral, regional and international levels. He noted that over the years, the two countries have continued to expand collaboration across a wide range of areas including trade, investment, defence, health, education and people-to-people exchanges.

​The President expressed confidence that the momentum generated by President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Pakistan last year will further deepen cooperation between the two countries for their mutual benefit. He conveyed his best wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Indonesia.

اسلام آباد: ​17 اگست 2026 — صدر مملکت آصف علی زرداری نے جمہوریہ انڈونیشیا کے صدر، پرابوو سوبیانتو، انڈونیشیا کی حکومت اور عوام کو ان کے یوم آزادی پر مبارکباد کا پیغام دیا۔

​اپنے تہنیتی خط میں صدر مملکت نے کہا کہ یہ تاریخی موقع انڈونیشیا کے عوام کے جذبے، استقامت اور عزم کے ساتھ ساتھ آزادی کی جدوجہد میں ان کی قوم کے بانی رہنماؤں کی قیادت کی یاد دلاتا ہے۔

​صدر زرداری نےکہا کہ پاکستان اور انڈونیشیا کے درمیان مشترکہ تاریخ، باہمی اعتماد، مشترکہ عقیدے اور دوطرفہ، علاقائی و بین الاقوامی سطح پر تعاون پر مبنی قریبی اور دوستانہ تعلقات قائم ہیں۔ انہوں نےمزید کہا کہ دونوں ممالک نے تجارت، سرمایہ کاری، دفاع، صحت، تعلیم اور عوامی روابط سمیت متعدد شعبوں میں تعاون کو مسلسل وسعت دی ہے۔

​صدر مملکت نے اس اعتماد کا اظہار کیا کہ گزشتہ سال صدر پرابوو سوبیانتو کے دورۂ پاکستان سے دونوں ممالک کے تعلقات کو ایک نئی جہت ملی جس سے باہمی مفاد میں تعاون کو مزید گہرا کرنے میں مدد ملے گی۔ انہوں نے انڈونیشیا کے عوام کے امن، ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لیے نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کیا۔
