Changsha, China: 27 April 2026 — President Asif Ali Zardari witnessed the signing of three memorandums of understanding between Pakistani and Chinese entities, covering desalination, agricultural technology and tea industry cooperation. The MoUs reflect a focused effort to advance practical collaboration in key sectors.

First MoU was concluded between the Local Government, Government of Sindh and Lucion Environmental Technology Group for collaboration on a seawater desalination project in Karachi aimed at increasing the city’s supply of water. The MoU was signed from the Pakistani side by Mr. Sharjeel Inam Memon, Sindh Senior Minister and from the Chinese side by Mr. Yuhui, Secretary of the Party Branch and Chairman of Lucion Environmental Technology Group. 

Second MoU between the Local Government, Government of Sindh and Long Ping Hi-tech Information Company provides for cooperation in agricultural technology. The MoU was signed by Mr. Sharjeel Inam Memon on behalf of the Government of Sindh and Mr. Chen Zhixin, Chairman of Longping High-Tech Information Company.

The third MoU which related to tea sector was signed between MESKAY & FEMTEE Trading Company, Hunan Tea Group and Jiaolong International Technology (Hainan) to promote cooperation across all areas of the industry, with a view to supporting the development of tea industry in both countries and strengthening economic, trade and people-to-people ties. The MoU was signed from the Pakistani side by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla and from the Chinese side by Mr. Zhou Chongwang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Hunan Tea Group, and Mr. Hao Jiaolong, Chairman of Hainan Jiaolong International Trade Technology.

Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Investment and Public-Private Partnership Projects; Ali Hassan Barohi; Chief Secretary, Sindh and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi were also present on the occasion.

سندھ کے سینئر وزیر شرجیل میمن  اور لوشیئن انوائرمنٹل ٹیکنالوجی گروپ کی پارٹی برانچ کے سیکرٹری اور چیئرمین  یوہوئی نے دستخط کیے 

دوسرا سمجھوتہ محکمہ بلدیات سندھ اور لانگ پن ہائی ٹیک انفارمیشن کمپنی کے درمیان زرعی ٹیکنالوجی میں تعاون کیلئے طے پایا
 سمجھوتے پر سندھ کے سنیئر وزیر شرجیل انعام میمن اور چینی کمپنی کی جانب سے چیئرمین چن ژی شین نے دستخط کیے

 تیسری مفاہمتی یادداشت چائے کے شعبے سے متعلق ہے
 مسکے اینڈ فیمٹی ٹریڈنگ کمپنی، ہونان ٹی گروپ اور جیالونگ انٹرنیشنل ٹیکنالوجی (ہینان) کے درمیان طے پائی
پاکستان کی جانب سے سینیٹر سلیم مانڈوی والا نے ایم او یو پردستخط کئے
ہونان ٹی گروپ کے پارٹی سیکرٹری و چیئرمین ژو چونگ وانگ اور ہینان جیالونگ انٹرنیشنل ٹریڈٹیکنالوجی کےچیئرمین ہاؤ جیاولونگ نے دستخط کیے
سمجھوتے کا مقصد صنعت کے تمام شعبوں میں تعاون کو فروغ دینا ہے
چائے کی صنعت کی ترقی میں معاونت اور اقتصادی، تجارتی و عوامی روابط کو بھی مضبوط بنایا جائے گا
 
وزیرِ اعلیٰ سندھ کے معاونِ خصوصی سرمایہ کاری و پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنر شپ منصوبہ جات قاسم نوید قمر، چیف سیکرٹری سندھ علی حسن باروہی اور چین میں پاکستان کے سفیر خلیل ہاشمی بھی موجود تھے
