President appreciates caretaker PM’s statement on General Elections

Islamabad, 4 September 2023: Caretaker Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Mr Ahmed Irfan Aslam, called on President Dr Arif Alvi, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, today. The meeting discussed many issues related to the holding of General Elections in the country. The President appreciated the Caretaker Prime Minister Mr Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar’s yesterday’s statement that the caretaker government would abide by the judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on this issue. He emphasized the need for upholding the supremacy of the Constitution, adding that decisions should be taken in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution.
