Islamabad, January 28, 2026: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi met with Acting President of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, at his residence in Islamabad. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall political situation of the country, the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, good governance, and the province’s overall socio-political conditions.
While speaking on the occasion, Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani stated that Pakistan’s Upper House of Parliament, which ensures equal representation of all provinces, is playing an effective role in promoting development and prosperity across the country. He emphasized that senators from all provinces serve as a strong voice for their respective regions and are actively working to address public issues. He reaffirmed the commitment to adopting a comprehensive and improved strategy to ensure balanced development and prosperity for all provinces.
The Acting President paid rich tribute to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their unparalleled bravery, sacrifices, and resilience in the fight against terrorism. He said that lasting peace in the province is the cornerstone of sustainable development and prosperity. He particularly acknowledged the immense sacrifices rendered by the people of the merged districts for the restoration of peace, stating that their contributions can never be forgotten.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani reiterated that the development, welfare, and prosperity of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the merged districts, remain a top priority and core mission of the government, and assured that all available resources will be utilized to achieve this objective.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi briefed the Acting President on the ongoing measures being taken to ensure law and order, promote good governance, and enhance public welfare in the province. He also expressed his resolve to further strengthen cooperation between the federation and the province for the greater benefit of the people.

اسلام آباد28 جنوری  2026: قائم مقام صدرِ پاکستان سید یوسف رضا گیلانی سے گورنر خیبر پختونخوا فیصل کریم کنڈی نے اسلام آباد میں ان کی رہائش گاہ پر ملاقات کی۔ ملاقات کے دوران ملک کی مجموعی سیاسی صورتحال، خیبر پختونخوا میں امن و امان، گڈ گورننس اور صوبے کی مجموعی صورتحال پر تفصیلی تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔
قائم مقام صدرِ پاکستان سید یوسف رضا گیلانی نے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان کا ایوانِ بالا، جس میں تمام صوبوں کو یکساں نمائندگی حاصل ہے، ملک کے تمام صوبوں کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لیے مؤثر کردار ادا کر رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ سینیٹ میں پاکستان کے تمام صوبوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے پارلیمنٹیرین اپنے اپنے علاقوں کی مؤثر آواز ہیں اور عوامی مسائل کے حل کے لیے بھرپور انداز میں کام کر رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ تمام صوبوں کی ترقی اور خوشحالی کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے بہتر اور جامع حکمتِ عملی اختیار کی جائے گی۔
قائم مقام صدر نے دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ میں خیبر پختونخوا کے عوام کی بے مثال بہادری، قربانیوں اور استقامت کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ صوبے میں پائیدار امن کا قیام ہی ترقی اور خوشحالی کی بنیاد ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ خیبر پختونخوا، بالخصوص ضم شدہ اضلاع کے عوام نے قیامِ امن کے لیے عظیم قربانیاں دی ہیں جنہیں کبھی فراموش نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔
سید یوسف رضا گیلانی نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ خیبر پختونخوا کے عوام، بشمول ضم شدہ اضلاع، کی ترقی، خوشحالی اور فلاح و بہبود حکومت کی اولین ترجیح اور مشن ہے، اور اس مقصد کے لیے تمام ممکنہ وسائل بروئے کار لائے جائیں گے۔
گورنر خیبر پختونخوا فیصل کریم کنڈی نے صوبے میں امن و امان کے قیام، گڈ گورننس کے فروغ اور عوامی فلاح کے لیے جاری اقدامات سے قائم مقام صدر کو آگاہ کیا اور مرکز و صوبے کے مابین تعاون کو مزید مضبوط بنانے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔
