Islamabad, 26 August 2026: First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari MNA has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of newborn babies in the fire at PIMS Hospital, Islamabad.

She conveyed her deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, saying that the loss of innocent newborn lives was heartbreaking and deeply distressing. She prayed for strength and patience for the families in this difficult hour and for the swift recovery of those affected.

The First Lady called for a thorough, swift and transparent investigation into the incident and stressed that all necessary measures must be taken to improve the hospital systems and prevent such tragedies in hospitals in the future.

She also hoped that the federal government will look after the families of the children to alleviate their unbearable pain and grief at this tragic moment.
