President greets nation on Eid-ul-Azha, calls for promoting values of sacrifice, love, unity

Message on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha – 6th June, 2025

This day revives in us the spirit of faith, sacrifice, selflessness, and brotherhood. I pray that Allah Almighty makes this day a source of blessings, unity, and prosperity for our country and the entire Muslim Ummah. Ameen," the president said in a message.
He said Eid-ul-Azha commemorates the unparalleled obedience, sacrifice, and submission of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS).
"These great personalities set a shining example of devotion, loyalty, selflessness, and sacrifice by wholeheartedly submitting to the command of Allah Almighty. This day reminds us that no sacrifice is too great in seeking the pleasure of Allah, and that our individual and collective success lies in obedience to His will," he added.
He also called for drawing lessons from the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness shown by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and integrate them into our lives.
"Today, there is a pressing need to support the underprivileged and marginalized segments of our society. Along with the act of animal sacrifice, Eid calls upon us to make a solemn pledge to always care for those in need, whether they are poor, sick, or destitute.
As a nation, we must support each other, share in each other's sorrows, and work together to build a prosperous and great Pakistan," President Zardari said.
On this occasion, the entire Pakistani nation must reaffirm its commitment to rid our hearts of hatred and prejudice, and with sincerity, contribute to the progress of our country and the elevation of the Muslim Ummah.
"May Allah accept our sacrifices, grant Pakistan peace, progress, and prosperity, and bless us with the strength to become a united and strong nation. Ameen, the president added.

کا عید الاضحٰی1446ھ کے موقع پر قوم کے نام پیغام

میں عیدالاضحیٰ کے مبارک موقع پر پوری پاکستانی قوم اور عالم ِاسلام کو دلی مبارکباد پیش کرتا ہوں۔ یہ دن ہمارے ایمان، قربانی، ایثار اور بھائی چارے کے جذبے کو ازسرِنوزندہ کرنے کا دن ہے۔ دعا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اس دن کو ہمارے ملک اور پوری امتِ مسلمہ کے لیے خیر، برکت، اتحاد اور خوشحالی کا ذریعہ بنائے۔ آمین۔
عیدالاضحیٰ حضرت ابراہیم ؑاور حضرت اسماعیل ؑ کی بے مثال اطاعت، قربانی اور تسلیم و رضا کی یاد تازہ کرتی ہے۔ ان عظیم ہستیوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ کے حکم کے آگے سرِ تسلیم خم کرکے اطاعت، وفاداری، ایثار اور قربانی کی ایک روشن مثال قائم کی۔ یہ دن ہمیں یاد دلاتا ہے کہ اللہ کی رضا کے لیے کسی بھی قربانی سے دریغ نہیں کرنا چاہیے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی اطاعت میں ہی ہماری انفرادی اور اجتماعی کامیابی مضمر ہے۔
ہمیں حضرت ابراہیمؑ کے ایثار و قربانی کی روح سے سبق سیکھنے اور اسے اپنی زندگیوں میں اُتارنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ آج ہمیں معاشرے کے کمزور اور محروم طبقات کا سہارا بننے کی ضرورت ہے۔ عید کے موقع پر قربانی کے ساتھ ساتھ ہمیں یہ عہد بھی کرنا چاہیے کہ ہم اپنے اطراف میں موجود ہر محتاج، بیمار،غریب اور مسکین فرد کا ہمیشہ خیال رکھیں گے۔ ہمیں اپنے رویّوں میں قربانی،محبت، بھائی چارے اور اتحاد کو فروغ دینا ہوگا۔ ہمیں بطور قوم ایک دوسرے کا سہارا بن کر، ایک دوسرے کے دکھ درد میں شریک ہو کر پاکستان کو ایک عظیم اور خوشحال ملک بنانا ہے۔
اس موقع پر پوری پاکستانی قوم کو اس عزم کا اعادہ کرنا ہے کہ ہم بحیثیت ِقوم دلوں کو نفرت اور تعصب سے پاک کریں گےاور خلوصِ نیت سے ملک و ملت کی ترقی اور امتِ مسلمہ کی سربلندی کیلئے اپنا کردار ادا کریں گے ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ہماری قربانیوں کو اپنی بارگاہ میں قبول فرمائے، پاکستان کو امن، ترقی اور خوشحالی عطا فرمائے، اور ہمیں ایک متحد اور مضبوط قوم بننے کی توفیق عطا فرمائے۔ آمین۔
