Message on the Independence Day of Lebanon - 22nd November 2025

I extend my warmest felicitations to the Government and the brotherly people of Lebanon on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Lebanon. Pakistan and Lebanon enjoy close and cordial relations built over decades, with shared views on many regional and global issues.

Pakistan attaches great importance to its longstanding ties with Lebanon and remains committed to further strengthening this mutually beneficial relationship.

We are confident that Lebanon will continue to move towards a future of stability, progress and prosperity. Pakistan values the spirit of cooperation between our two countries, including our engagement at international fora.

We fully support the Lebanese Presidency’s call for the guarantors of the ceasefire to honour their obligations and press Israel to halt its aggressive actions. Israeli occupying forces must withdraw from Southern Lebanon as agreed under the ceasefire. Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s military aggression against Lebanon, its repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty and its attacks on civilian areas in clear breach of international law, the UN Charter and the ceasefire agreement.

We reaffirm our unwavering support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and call on the international community to help ensure the ceasefire is upheld and that displaced Lebanese citizens can safely return to their homes. Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with the Lebanese people.

As Lebanon celebrates its Independence Day, the people of Pakistan join their Lebanese brothers and sisters in prayers for lasting peace, stability and prosperity. Pakistan will continue to extend all possible support to Lebanon and remains committed to working together for a future anchored in mutual respect, shared aspirations and enduring friendship.

میں لبنان کی حکومت اور برادر عوام کو جمہوریۂ لبنان کے یومِ آزادی کے موقع پر دلی مبارکباد پیش کرتا ہوں۔ پاکستان اور لبنان کے درمیان کئی دہائیوں پر محیط قریبی اور دوستانہ تعلقات استوار ہیں، اور ہم خطّے اور دنیا کے متعدد مسائل پر یکساں مؤقف رکھتے ہیں۔

پاکستان، لبنان کے ساتھ اپنی دیرینہ وابستگی کو انتہائی اہمیت دیتا ہے اور اس باہمی مفید تعلق کو مزید مضبوط بنانے کے لیے پُرعزم ہے۔

ہمیں پُورا یقین ہے کہ لبنان استحکام، ترقی اور خوشحالی کے مستقبل کی جانب پیش قدمی جاری رکھے گا۔ پاکستان اس دو طرفہ تعاون کی قدر کرتا ہے، جس میں بین الاقوامی فورمز پر ہماری مشترکہ کاوشیں بھی شامل ہیں۔

ہم لبنان کی اس اپیل کی مکمل حمایت کرتے ہیں کہ جنگ بندی کے ضامن ممالک اپنے فرائض پورے کریں اور اسرائیل پر دباؤ ڈالیں کہ وہ اپنی جارحانہ کارروائیاں بند کرے۔ اسرائیلی قابض افواج کو جنگ بندی کے تحت طے شدہ معاہدے کے مطابق جنوبی لبنان سے واپس جانا چاہیے۔ پاکستان اسرائیل کی لبنان کے خلاف فوجی جارحیت، لبنانی خودمختاری کی بارہا خلاف ورزیوں اور شہری علاقوں پر حملوں کی شدید مذمت کرتا ہے، جو بین الاقوامی قانون، اقوامِ متحدہ کے چارٹر اور جنگ بندی کے معاہدے کی صریح خلاف ورزی ہیں۔

ہم لبنان کی خودمختاری اور علاقائی سالمیت کی غیر متزلزل حمایت کا اعادہ کرتے ہیں اور عالمی برادری سے مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ جنگ بندی پر سختی سے عمل درآمد کو یقینی بنایا جائے اور بے گھر ہونے والے لبنانی شہریوں کی محفوظ واپسی میں مدد کی جائے۔ پاکستان لبنانی عوام کے ساتھ شانہ بشانہ کھڑا ہے۔

آج جب لبنان اپنا یومِ آزادی منا رہا ہے، پاکستان کے عوام اپنے لبنانی بھائیوں اور بہنوں کے ساتھ دیرپا امن، استحکام اور خوشحالی کے لیے دُعاگو ہیں۔ پاکستان لبنان کو ہر ممکن تعاون فراہم کرتا رہے گا اور باہمی احترام، مشترکہ امنگوں اور دائمی دوستی پر مبنی مستقبل کے لیے مل کر کام کرنے کے عزم کا اظہار کرتا ہے۔
