Message on the birth anniversary of Allama Iqbal - 9th November  2025

Today, we mark the birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the poet-philosopher whose vision helped awaken the spirit of independence and self-determination among the Muslims of the Subcontinent. In his address at the All-India Muslim League session in 1930, he emphasised the importance of securing the rights of Muslims which laid the foundation for a sovereign nation.

Iqbal’s legacy goes well beyond his literary works such as Asrar-e-Khudi, Rumuz-e-Bekhudi and Bang-e-Dara, which explore matters of identity, spirituality and freedom. His insistence on political representation for Muslims and on values rooted in Islam has left a lasting imprint on Pakistan’s national identity.

As we pay tribute to this remarkable personality, we renew our commitment to his principles and to striving for a Pakistan that is prosperous, peaceful and united. Let us draw strength from his life and ideals as we work together to build a brighter tomorrow.

May Allama Iqbal’s vision guide us in our shared endeavour for progress, and may his legacy continue to inspire generations.

آج ہم علامہ محمد اقبالؒ کا یومِ پیدائش منا رہے ہیں ۔ وہ شاعرِ مشرق اور مفکر جن کے وژن نے برصغیر کے مسلمانوں میں آزادی اور خود ارادیت کا شعور بیدار کیا۔ 1930 میں مسلم لیگ کے سالانہ اجلاس سے اپنے تاریخی خطاب میں علامہ اقبالؒ نے مسلمانوں کے حقوق کے تحفظ کی ضرورت پر زور دیا، جو بعد ازاں ایک خودمختار مملکت کی بنیاد بنا۔

اقبالؒ کا فکری و ادبی ورثہ صرف ان کی شہرۂ آفاق تصانیف ، اسرارِ خودی، رموزِ بے خودی اور بانگِ درا، تک محدود نہیں، بلکہ اس ورثہ میں خودی، روحانیت اور آزادی جیسے گہرے موضوعات کا احاطہ کیا گیا ہے۔ مسلمانوں کی سیاسی نمائندگی اور اسلامی اقدار پر مبنی ان کے معاشرتی اصولوں نے پاکستان کی قومی شناخت پر انمٹ نقوش چھوڑے ہیں۔

ہم جب اس غیر معمولی شخصیت کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کرتے ہیں تو اس عزم کی تجدید بھی کرتے ہیں کہ ہم ان کے اصولوں کی پیروی کرتے ہوئے ایک خوشحال، پُرامن اور متحد پاکستان کی تعمیر کے لیے کوشاں رہیں گے۔

آیئے، ہم اقبالؒ کی زندگی اور تعلیمات سے رہنمائی حاصل کریں اور ایک روشن مستقبل کے لیے یکجا ہو کر کام کریں۔

اللہ کرے کہ اقبالؒ کی بصیرت ہماری ترقی کے لئے مشعل راہ بنی رہے، اور ان کا فکری ورثہ آنے والی نسلوں کے لیے ہمیشہ باعثِ تحریک بنا رہے۔
