Message on the 108th Independence Day of Finland - 06th December 2025

On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, and personally, I extend my heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to Your Excellency and the people of the Republic of Finland on the auspicious occasion of the 108th Independence Day of Finland.

Since its independence, Finland has made remarkable progress in education, technology, innovation, research, biotechnology, forestry and several other sectors. The country's consistent top ranking on the Global Happiness Index for eight consecutive years stands as an indicator of the extraordinary talent, resilience and creativity of the Finnish people.

Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Republic of Finland. We share convergence of views on major international issues and uphold common values of democratic pluralism and economic liberalism.

There exists immense potential for cooperation, particularly in the fields of business, education, green transition, digitalisation, mining and telecommunications.

Pakistan remains committed to working closely with the Republic of Finland for the promotion of political, commercial and people-to-people linkages. It is our sincere desire that the friendly relations between our two countries continue to grow from strength to strength in the years ahead.

حکومتِ پاکستان، عوامِ پاکستان اور اپنی جانب سے بھی، میں آپ کو اور جمہوریہ فن لینڈ کے عوام کو فن لینڈ کے 108ویں یومِ آزادی کے مبارک موقع پر دلی مبارک باد اور نیک خواہشات پیش کرتا ہوں۔

اپنی آزادی کے بعد سے فن لینڈ نے تعلیم، ٹیکنالوجی، جدت (انوویشن)، تحقیق، بایو ٹیکنالوجی، جنگلات اور کئی دیگر شعبوں میں قابلِ ذکر ترقی کی ہے۔ مسلسل آٹھ برس تک ’گلوبل ہیپی نیس انڈیکس‘ میں سرفہرست رہنا فن لینڈ کے عوام کی غیر معمولی صلاحیت، ثابت قدمی اور تخلیقی قوت کا مظہر ہے۔

پاکستان، جمہوریہ فن لینڈ کے ساتھ اپنے تعلقات کو نہایت اہمیت دیتا ہے۔ ہم بڑے عالمی امور پر ہم خیال ہیں اور جمہوری تکثیریت اور اقتصادی لبرل ازم کی مشترکہ قدروں کے امین ہیں۔
دونوں ممالک میں تعاون، خصوصاً تجارت، تعلیم، ’گرین ٹرانزیشن‘، ڈیجیٹلائزیشن، مائننگ اور ٹیلی کمیونی کیشن کے شعبوں میں بے پناہ امکانات موجود ہیں۔ 

پاکستان سیاسی، تجارتی اور عوامی سطح کے روابط کے فروغ کے لیے جمہوریہ فن لینڈ کے ساتھ قریبی اشتراکِ عمل جاری رکھنے کے لیے پُرعزم ہے۔ ہماری دلی خواہش ہے کہ آئندہ برسوں میں ہمارے دونوں ممالک کے دوستانہ تعلقات مزید مضبوط ہوتے رہیں۔
