Message on the Triumph of the Revolution Day of Cuba- 1st January 2026

On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, I extend warm greetings and sincere congratulations to President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and the people of the Republic of Cuba on the occasion of the Triumph of the Revolution Day.

Pakistan and Cuba share a long history of friendship and cooperation. This relationship is often remembered and tested in the moments of hardships and tribulations. In the aftermath of the devastating 2005 earthquake, Cuba responded with extraordinary solidarity. It sent over 2,400 physicians, nurses and paramedical personnel and established 32 field hospitals in the most severely affected areas of Pakistan, a humanitarian contribution that Pakistan continues to remember with deep gratitude.

Marking a renewed chapter in our relationship, this selfless assistance led to a reinvigoration of bilateral engagement, with closer cooperation and the subsequent restoration of resident diplomatic presence in both countries.

As we reflect on seven decades of diplomatic relations, I am confident that Pakistan and Cuba can further strengthen cooperation and expand people to people contacts to bring our societies closer.

I wish the people of Cuba continued peace, prosperity and progress, and reaffirm Pakistan’s desire to further enhance the bonds between our nations.

کا جمہوریہ کیوبا کے یومِ فتحِ کے موقع پر پیغام

میں پاکستان کے عوام اور حکومت کی جانب سے جمہوریہ کیوبا کے صدر میگوئل دیازکانیل برمودیز اور کیوبا کے عوام کو یومِ فتحِ انقلاب کے موقع پر دلی مبارکباد اور نیک تمناوؤں کا اظہار کرتا ہوں۔ 

پاکستان اور کیوبا کے درمیان دوستی اور تعاون کی ایک طویل تاریخ ہے۔ یہ تعلق اکثر مشکل اور آزمائش کے اوقات میں یاد رکھا اور پرکھا جاتا ہے۔ کیوبا نے 2005 کے تباہ کن زلزلے کے بعد غیر معمولی یکجہتی کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ کیوبا نے 2400 سے زائد ڈاکٹروں، نرسوں اور نیم طبی عملے کو پاکستان بھیجا اور شدید متاثرہ علاقوں میں 32 فیلڈ ہسپتال قائم کئے۔ یہ ایک عظیم انسانی خدمت تھی جسے پاکستان آج بھی گہرے شکرگزاری کے جذبات کے ساتھ یاد کرتا ہے۔

ہمارے تعلقات کے ایک نئے باب کی علامت کے طور پر، اس بے لوث امداد نے دوطرفہ روابط کو نئی جہت دی جس کے نتیجے میں قریبی تعاون کو فروغ ملا اور دونوں ممالک میں مستقل سفارتی موجودگی بحال ہوئی۔

سفارتی تعلقات کے سات دہائیوں پر نظر ڈالتے ہوئے مجھے یقین ہے کہ ہم پاکستان اور کیوبا کے درمیان تعاون کو مزید مضبوط بناسکتے ہیں اور عوام سے عوام کے روابط کو وسعت دے کر اپنے معاشروں کو ایک دوسرے کے قریب لاسکتے ہیں۔

میں کیوبا کے عوام کے لئے امن، خوشحالی اور ترقی کی نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کرتا ہوں اور اپنی اس خواہش کا اعادہ کرتا ہوں کہ پاکستان دونوں ممالک کے درمیان تعلقات کو مزید فروغ دینے کا خواہاں ہے۔
