Message on the National Day of the United Arab Emirates- 02nd December 2025

On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, I extend my warmest congratulations to the leadership and the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates on their National Day.

Pakistan greatly values its historic and fraternal relationship with the United Arab Emirates, which Pakistan was proud to be the first country to recognise in 1971. Our ties, anchored in common faith, mutual trust, generational rapport and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity, continue to grow in strength and depth.

The relationship between our two countries is also deeply personal for my family. Four generations of our family have shared a special bond with the UAE. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto cultivated a close relationship with its founding leadership. Begum Nusrat Bhutto spent her final days in the UAE. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto lived in exile in UAE during difficult years. Today, my daughter has made the UAE her home, and I have long enjoyed warm and enduring relations with the royal leadership. These connections reflect the affection and trust that bind our peoples.

I am confident that our expanding cooperation in trade, investment, security and defence will continue to advance our shared objectives. The Pakistani diaspora in the UAE serves as a vital bridge between our nations and remains a source of strength in our bilateral relations.

Pakistan looks forward to further deepening this partnership and conveys its best wishes to the United Arab Emirates for continued peace, progress and prosperity.

حکومتِ پاکستان اور عوامِ پاکستان کی جانب سے، میں متحدہ عرب امارات کی قیادت اور برادر عوام کو ان کے قومی دن پر دلی مبارکباد پیش کرتا ہوں۔

پاکستان متحدہ عرب امارات کے ساتھ اپنے تاریخی اور برادرانہ تعلقات کو انتہائی قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتا ہے۔ پاکستان کو اس بات پر فخر ہے کہ اس نے 1971 میں متحدہ عرب امارات کو سب سے پہلے تسلیم کیا۔ ہمارے تعلقات مشترکہ ایمان، باہمی اعتماد، نسل در نسل قائم باہمی رشتوں اور امن و خوشحالی کی مشترکہ امنگوں پر استوار ہیں، جو وقت کے ساتھ مضبوط تر اور گہرے ہوتے چلے گئے ہیں۔

ہمارے دونوں ممالک کے تعلقات میری فیملی کے لیے بھی اہمیت رکھتے ہیں۔ ہمارے خاندان کی چار نسلوں کا متحدہ عرب امارات کے ساتھ خصوصی تعلق رہا ہے۔ شہید ذوالفقار علی بھٹو نے اس کے بانی قائدین کے ساتھ قریبی تعلقات استوار کیے۔ بیگم نصرت بھٹو نے اپنی زندگی کے آخری ایام متحدہ عرب امارات میں گزارے۔ شہید محترمہ بینظیر بھٹو نے مشکل برسوں میں متحدہ عرب امارات میں جلاوطنی کے دن گزارے۔ آج میری بیٹی متحدہ عرب امارات کو اپنا گھر بنا چکی ہے، اور مجھے طویل عرصے سے اماراتی شاہی قیادت کے ساتھ گرم جوش اور مضبوط تعلقات کا اعزاز حاصل ہے۔ یہ تمام رشتے ہمارے عوام کے درمیان محبت اور اعتماد کی جھلک ہیں۔

‎مجھے پورا یقین ہے کہ تجارت، سرمایہ کاری، سکیورٹی اور دفاع کے شعبوں میں بڑھتا ہوا تعاون ہمارے مشترکہ مقاصد کو مزید آگے بڑھائے گا۔ امارات میں رہنے والی پاکستانی کمیونٹی ہمارے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان اہم رابطے کا ذریعہ ہے اور دوطرفہ تعلقات کو مزید مضبوط کرتی ہے۔

پاکستان اس شاندار شراکت داری کو مزید گہرا کرنے کا خواہاں ہے اور متحدہ عرب امارات کیلئے امن، ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لئےمسلسل دعاگو ہے۔
