Message on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People - 29th November 2025

Today, on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, I would like to pay high tribute to the valiant Palestinian people for writing a new chapter in the annals of history, with unparalleled courage, unyielding resilience and steadfast resolve in the face of enormous challenges. Pakistan attaches great importance to its historical and close relations with the brotherly State of Palestine.

Pakistan stands firmly with the Palestinian people. Our support for the Palestinian cause is rooted in the universal values of human dignity, fairness and justice. The bond between the people of Pakistan and Palestine is one of deep affection and mutual respect. Even in the gravest of times, the Pakistani nation has stood shoulder to shoulder with its Palestinian brothers and sisters. Support for the Palestinian people has been part of the very existence of Pakistan. Seven (7) years before Pakistan was even born, the famous Lahore Resolution of 1940 contained a resolution of solidarity for the people of Palestine and their statehood.

Pakistan has consistently condemned the atrocities of Israeli occupying forces in Gaza and has raised its voice for the Palestinians at every forum. We have repeatedly called for an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access, the protection of civilians and full accountability for the war crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupying forces. We remain consistent in our efforts at all international fora, including the United Nations, OIC, ICJ and NAM, for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. We have constructively engaged in the Gaza Peace Deal with the hope that it will bring an end to the unimaginable sufferings of Palestinians as a result of Israel's aggression and crimes against humanity. 

Pakistan will continue to extend every possible political, diplomatic, humanitarian and moral support to its Palestinian brothers and sisters. We reiterate our unwavering support for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, viable and contiguous State of Palestine, based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. 

May the resilience of the Palestinian people inspire the conscience of the world and may justice and peace prevail. 

Moreover, it is my earnest desire to offer prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque beside my Palestinian brethren one day. Inshallah!

آج، بین الاقوامی یومِ یکجہتیِ فلسطین کے موقع پر، میں بہادر فلسطینی عوام کو دل کی گہرائیوں سے سلام پیش کرتا ہوں، جنہوں نے بے مثال ہمت، ثابت قدمی اور غیر متزلزل حوصلے کے ساتھ تاریخ میں ایک نیا باب رقم کیا ہے۔ پاکستان، فلسطین کے ساتھ اپنے دیرینہ اور قریبی برادرانہ تعلقات کو بہت اہمیت دیتا ہے۔

پاکستان ہمیشہ سے فلسطینی عوام کے ساتھ ثابت قدمی سے کھڑا رہا ہے۔ فلسطینیوں کے لئے ہماری حمایت انسانیت، انصاف اور برابری کی بنیادی اقدار پر قائم ہے۔ پاکستان اور فلسطین کے عوام کے درمیان محبت، احترام اور بھائی چارے کا رشتہ ہے۔ مشکل ترین حالات میں بھی پاکستانی قوم نے ہمیشہ اپنے فلسطینی بہن بھائیوں کا ساتھ دیا ہے۔ فلسطین کی حمایت پاکستان کی پہچان کا حصہ رہی ہے۔ یہاں تک کہ پاکستان بننے سے سات سال پہلے، 1940ء کی قراردادِ لاہور میں بھی فلسطین کے حقِ خودارادی کی واضح حمایت شامل تھی۔

پاکستان نے ہمیشہ غزہ میں اسرائیلی قابض فوج کے مظالم کی شدید مذمت کی ہے اور ہر عالمی فورم پر فلسطینیوں کے لیے آواز اٹھائی ہے۔ ہم مسلسل فوری اور مستقل جنگ بندی، انسانی امداد کی بلا رکاوٹ فراہمی، شہریوں کے تحفظ اور اسرائیلی جنگی جرائم پر مکمل احتساب کا مطالبہ کرتے رہے ہیں۔ اقوامِ متحدہ، او آئی سی، آئی سی جے اور دیگر عالمی فورمز پر بھی پاکستان فلسطینی عوام کے بنیادی اور ناقابلِ تنسیخ حقوق کے لیے مسلسل سرگرم رہا ہے۔ غزہ امن معاہدے میں بھی پاکستان نے مثبت اور تعمیری کردار ادا کیا، اس امید کے ساتھ کہ اسرائیلی ظلم و جارحیت سے فلسطینی عوام پر ڈھائے گئے  ناقابل تصور دکھوں کا خاتمہ ہو سکے گا۔

پاکستان اپنے فلسطینی بھائیوں اور بہنوں کی ہر طرح کی سیاسی، سفارتی، انسانی اور اخلاقی حمایت جاری رکھے گا۔ ہم اپنے اس مؤقف کا اعادہ کرتے ہیں کہ فلسطین جون 1967ء سے پہلے والی سرحدوں کے مطابق ایک آزاد، خودمختار اور مضبوط   ریاست کے طور پر قائم ہو اور اس کا دارالحکومت القدس الشریف ہو۔

الّلہ کرے کہ فلسطینی عوام کی جدوجہد اور ہمت دنیا کے سوئے ہوئے ضمیر کو جگا دے اور دنیا میں انصاف اور امن کی جیت ہو۔

میری یہ دلی خواہش بھی ہے کہ ایک دن مجھے مسجدِ اقصیٰ میں اپنے فلسطینی بھائیوں کے ساتھ نماز ادا کرنے کی سعادت حاصل ہو۔ انشاءالّلہ۔
