Message on the Occasion of World Humanitarian Day , 19 Augast 2026

On World Humanitarian Day, Pakistan joins the international community in honouring the courage, selflessness and dedication of humanitarian workers who serve on the frontlines during natural disasters, emergencies and crises. Their swift response, contribution to relief and rehabilitation and commitment to helping people in distress, often in difficult and dangerous conditions, deserve our deepest appreciation.

We are grateful to humanitarian workers who, alongside civil society, security forces and ordinary citizens, remain prepared to respond when communities face emergencies. Their timely assistance and compassion provide essential support to people who are most vulnerable during such times.

Humanitarian workers play an important role in helping communities withstand crises and recover from them. Their work reflects the values of compassion and respect for human dignity. Through organised and professional assistance, they help strengthen the support systems available to people affected by violence, displacement, hunger, poverty, disability and marginalisation.

As we observe World Humanitarian Day 2026, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the fundamental rights and dignity of every individual, as guaranteed under the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973 and the human rights treaties ratified by Pakistan.

I extend my appreciation to all social workers, counsellors, healthcare providers, child protection workers and humanitarian personnel serving across Pakistan. Their dedication reminds us of the responsibility we share to assist those in need and to ensure that no one is left without support in times of crisis.

انسانی ہمدردی کے عالمی دن پر پاکستان،  بین الاقوامی برادری کے ساتھ مل کر، قدرتی آفات، ہنگامی حالات اور بحرانوں کے دوران صف اول پر خدمات انجام دینے والے امدادی کارکنان کی شجاعت، بے لوث جذبے اور لگن کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتا ہے۔ قدرتی آفات اور مشکل و خطرناک حالات کے باوجود، دکھی انسانیت کی مدد کے لیے ان کا فوری ردِعمل، امدادی و بحالی کی سرگرمیوں میں کردار اور ان کا عزمِ مصمم قابل تحسین ہے۔

ہم ان امدادی کارکنان کے شکر گزار ہیں جو سول سوسائٹی، سیکیورٹی فورسز اور عام شہریوں کے ساتھ مل کر، ناگہانی آفات کے دوران مدد کے لیے تیار رہتے ہیں۔ ان کی بروقت امداد اور ہمدردی ان مشکلات کے دوران، متاثرہ اور غیر محفوظ لوگوں کو سہارا فراہم کرتی ہے۔

امدادی کارکنان معاشروں کو بحرانوں کا مقابلہ کرنے اور ان کے اثرات سے نکلنے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ ان کا کام انسانی ہمدردی اور احترامِ انسانیت جیسے عظیم اقدار کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ وہ ایک منظم اور پیشہ ورانہ امدادی طریقہ کار کے ذریعے تشدد، نقل مکانی، بھوک، غربت، معذوری اور محرومی کے شکار افراد کی مدد کے معاون نظام کو مزید مضبوط بناتے ہیں۔

انسانی ہمدردی کے عالمی دن 2026 کے موقع پر، ہم آئینِ پاکستان 1973 اور پاکستان کے توثیق شدہ انسانی حقوق کے معاہدوں کے تحت ہر فرد کے بنیادی حقوق اور احترامِ انسانیت کے تحفظ کے عزم کا اعادہ کرتے ہیں۔

میں پاکستان بھر میں خدمات انجام دینے والے تمام سماجی کارکنان، کونسلرز، طبی عملے، چائلڈ پروٹیکشن ورکرز اور انسانی حقوق کے امدادی کارکنان کی خدمات کو سراہتا ہوں۔ ان کا جذبہ ہمیں اس مشترکہ ذمہ داری کی یاد دلاتا ہے کہ ہم ضرورت مندوں کی مدد کریں اور اس بات کو یقینی بنائیں کہ بحرانوں میں کوئی بھی فرد بے یار و مددگار نہ رہے۔
