Message on the International Women’s Day, 8th March 2025

Today, Pakistan joins the world in celebrating International Women’s Day to highlight women's resilience and their contributions to shaping societies and driving progress. This year’s theme, “For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”, reinforces the need for collective action to ensure that every woman and girl has equal access to rights and opportunities.

Women constitute almost half of our population and empowering them is essential for our national progress. Societies that provide equal rights and opportunities for women are more prosperous, peaceful, and resilient. When women are given access to education, economic opportunities, and leadership roles, entire communities benefit. Unfortunately, many women still have to face violence, discrimination, and barriers to their full participation in society.

Pakistan is committed to advancing women’s rights in line with our constitutional provisions and international commitments. Over the years, we have taken key steps, including the enactment of laws against domestic violence, workplace harassment, and gender-based discrimination. Similarly, specialized courts and helplines for survivors of gender-based violence have strengthened protections. Pakistan has taken steps to increase women’s representation in politics, judiciary, law enforcement, and public institutions, besides undertaking economic initiatives to promote financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy for women. 

We should ensure an inclusive and equitable society and take more steps to further improve policies to support women’s safety, education, and economic independence. Our businesses and private sector should also provide equal opportunities, fair wages, and safe workplaces for women. By ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women, we can build a stronger, more progressive, and just society for future generations. 

On this International Women’s Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to empower every woman to help her achieve her full potential.

خواتین کی استقامت ، معاشرتی تشکیل و ترقی میں کردار کے اعتراف کیلئے عالمی یومِ نسواں منا رہے ہیں، صدر مملکت

اس سال کا عالمی یومِ نسواں  کا عنوان  ہر خاتون کے حقوق اور مواقع تک مساوی رسائی یقینی بنانے کی اہمیت پر زور دیتا ہے، صدر مملکت

خواتین ہماری آبادی کا تقریباً نصف حصہ ہیں ، صدر مملکت

خواتین کو بااختیار بنانا ہماری قومی ترقی کے لیے ناگزیرہے، صدر مملکت

خواتین کو مساوی حقوق ، مواقع دینے والے معاشرے زیادہ خوشحال، پرامن اور پائیدار ہوتے ہیں، صدر مملکت

خواتین کو تعلیم، معاشی مواقع اور قائدانہ کردار تک رسائی   دینا پوری قوم کیلئے سودمند ہے، صدر مملکت

بہت سی خواتین کو اب بھی تشدد، امتیازی سلوک اور انکی بھرپور معاشرتی شمولیت میں رکاوٹوں کا سامنا ہے، صدر مملکت

ہمیں ایک ہمہ جہت اور مساوات پر مبنی معاشرہ تشکیل دینا ہے، صدر مملکت

خواتین کے تحفظ، تعلیم اور معاشی آزادی کیلئے پالیسیاں بہتر بنانے کیلئے مزید اقدامات کرنے کی ضرورت ہے، صدر مملکت

کاروباری اور نجی شعبے کو خواتین کیلئے مساوی مواقع، منصفانہ اُجرت اور کام کیلئے محفوظ ماحول فراہم کرنا چاہیے، صدر مملکت

پاکستان آئینی دفعات ، بین الاقوامی معاہدوں کے مطابق خواتین کے حقوق کے فروغ کے لیے پرعزم ہے، صدر مملکت

گزشتہ کچھ سالوں میں ہم نے گھریلو تشدد، کام کی جگہ پر ہراسانی  اور صنفی امتیاز کے خلاف قوانین کے نفاذ سمیت کلیدی اقدامات کیے ، صدر مملکت

صنفی بنیاد پر تشدد سے بچ جانے والوں کے لیے خصوصی عدالتوں اور ہیلپ لائنز کے قیام سے خواتین کے تحفظ میں مدد ملی ہے، صدر مملکت

پاکستان نے سیاست، عدلیہ، قانون نافذ کرنے والے اور  دیگر سرکاری اداروں میں خواتین کی نمائندگی بڑھانے کے لیے اقدامات کیے ، صدر مملکت

خواتین کی مالیاتی شمولیت، کاروبار ی سرگرمیوں اور ڈیجیٹل خواندگی کے فروغ کے لیے معاشی اقدامات لیے گئے، صدر مملکت

آئیے ، اس عالمی یومِ نسواں پر ہر خاتون کو  بااختیار بنانے کے عزم کا اعادہ کریں  ، صدر مملکت
