Message on the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan- 16th December 2025

I extend warm felicitations to the leadership and people of Kazakhstan as they celebrate their 34th Independence Day. This occasion marks the adoption of the Law on Independence and State Sovereignty in 1991—a defining moment that set Kazakhstan on its path toward becoming a modern and forward-looking nation.

Kazakhstan's journey since independence reflects the resilience and steady progress of its people. This date commemorates Kazakhstan’s declaration as a sovereign democratic state. It also honours the 1986 Zheltoksan protests in Almaty, where Kazakh youth demonstrated against Soviet policies, symbolizing the people’s resolve for freedom.

Pakistan and Kazakhstan share close and friendly ties, underpinned by common values and mutual respect. We deeply appreciate Kazakhstan's steadfast support in international forums, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Our cooperation continues to strengthen, particularly in trade, energy and regional connectivity, with promising opportunities emerging through CPEC.

I convey my sincere wishes to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and to the people of Kazakhstan for continued prosperity and stability. Pakistan remains committed to deepening our partnership with Kazakhstan in pursuit of regional peace and development.

کا جمہوریہ قازقستان کے یومِ آزادی کے موقع پر پیغام

میں جمہوریہ قازقستان کی قیادت اور عوام کو ملک کے 34ویں یومِ آزادی کے موقع پر دلی مبارک باد پیش کرتا ہوں۔ یہ موقع 1991 میں قانونِ آزادی اور ریاستی خودمختاری کی منظوری کی یاد دلاتا ہے۔ ایک ایسا تاریخی سنگِ میل جس نے قازقستان کو ایک جدید اور مستقبل گیر قوم بننے کی راہ پر گامزن کیا۔

آزادی کے بعد سے قازقستان کا سفر اس کے عوام کی استقامت اور مسلسل ترقی کا عکاس ہے۔ یہ دن قازقستان کے ایک خودمختار جمہوری ریاست کے طور پر اعلان کی یاد بھی تازہ کرتا ہے۔ اس کے ساتھ ہی 1986 میں الماتی میں ہونے والے ژیلتوکسان مظاہروں کو بھی خراجِ تحسین پیش کرنے کا دن ہے، جب قازق نوجوانوں نے سوویت پالیسیوں کے خلاف احتجاج کیاجو آزادی کے لیے عوام کے عزم کی علامت بنا۔

پاکستان اور قازقستان کے درمیان قریبی اور دوستانہ تعلقات قائم ہیں، جو مشترکہ اقدار اور باہمی احترام پر مبنی ہیں۔ ہم اقوامِ متحدہ اور اسلامی تعاون تنظیم سمیت بین الاقوامی فورمز پر قازقستان کی مستقل حمایت کو قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتے ہیں۔ تجارت، توانائی اور علاقائی روابط کے شعبوں میں ہمارا تعاون مسلسل مضبوط ہو رہا ہے جبکہ سی پیک کے ذریعے امید افزا مواقع بھی سامنے آ رہے ہیں۔

میں صدر قاسم جومارت توقایف اور قازقستان کے عوام کے لیے خوشحالی اور استحکام کی دلی تمناؤں کا اظہار کرتا ہوں۔ اور اس بات کا اعادہ بھی کہ پاکستان علاقائی امن اور ترقی کے حصول کے لیے قازقستان کے ساتھ اپنی شراکت داری کو مزید گہرا کرنے کا عزم رکھتا ہے۔
