ISLAMABAD AUGUST 26, 2019: 9 th Steering Committee for Federal Government Artists’ Welfare Fund meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Dr. Arif Alvi at the Aiwane-Sadr, Islamabad, today to consider the names of 275 artists belonging to all four provinces for financial assistance. The President said that the basic purpose of this fund was to provide financial support to the needy artists. In this regard, he underlined the need of accurate data base to ensure disbursement of funds in a transparent manner.
